When I interned at Southern California Edison in June 2011, I was given a role to test their software for usability. Usability is a quality attribute that assesses how easy something is to use. From what I have learned, no matter how great the product is, if a customer is unable to use it, than it is useless. After doing series of tests and seeing what works or not, we have provided documentation on how products can be tested for usability. I have also used a software simulator called iRise which allowed me to mock up user interfaces for software and websites. This project ended at September 2011.
